What courses do you offer?
We offer the Texas License to Carry course (online or in-person options) along with the NRA Basic Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Refuse to be a Victim, Firearm Safety, CCW and Personal Protection courses. We also host well-known and respected firearms instructors from all over the US that offer the best in firearms training. In addition, we offer Intro to IDPA competition classes, skill-builder workshops, Defensive Shotgun, and Defensive Pistol, Defensive Carbine/Rifle.
When are the courses offered and how do I sign up or register for a course?
Check our “Course Schedule” page to see the classes we currently have scheduled. Click on the one you are interested in to view brief course description along with details such as time and location are listed as well. Then click “Register” to sign-up for the class.
What if there isn't a course listed that I am interested in taking right now?
Keep checking back. We are constantly updating our class schedules throughout the year. Or contact us directly by using the contact form. We can arrange classes on a private or group basis. In addition, if there is enough interest for a particular course we will certainly make room in the schedule!
Do you offer non-NRA courses such as concealed handgun licensing courses?
Yes. We offer the Texas License to Carry course online, as well as the in-person range instruction and handgun proficiency demonstration with one of our experience instructors.
What do I need to wear?
Our classroom location is air-conditioned. The range facility is outdoors. You should wear seasonally appropriate clothing for typical Southeast Texas weather. A shirt with a collar or a high necked tee shirt is recommended. Sturdy closed-toe shoes and a hat are also recommended. Sunscreen and insect repellent is recommended. Most ranges are covered so we will have the class regardless of the weather.
What do I need to bring with me to class?
- Bring eye and hearing protection. I have loaner safety glasses and disposable ear plugs if needed.
- For Basic Pistol and LTC classes, bring at least 50 rounds for your firearm (.22 caliber or larger,) if you don't have a gun I'll loan you one - you just pay for the ammunition or bring 50 rounds of ammo.
- For other classes, ammunition quantities vary. Ask the instructor beforehand.
- Bring pen, notepad, and your valid, non-expired Texas Driver License or Texas Department of Public Safety ID card.
How do I pay for the class?
When you register for the course, you will automatically be forwarded to the payment page where you can pay by credit card. Call us if you prefer to pay by cash or check.
Do you offer private instruction?
Yes. Contact us to enquire more about personalized one-on-one instruction. It is a great way to learn and excel in improving your shooting skills.
